March 10 - 12, 2026
Tue-Wed-Thu
This 3-day workshop is your stake in the ground. Your commitment to your speaking as integral to your legacy in the world.
Intentionally Small
You’ll be part of something special. Enrollment is capped at 6 people, maximum, to ensure personal attention and meaningful connection. I’ll hold it even if just one person registers. Camp is happening no matter what.
Engaged Learning
You will be an active participant. We’ll roll up our sleeves and dig deep. The excavation and distillation process is fun and essential. Your full focus is needed to reap maximum benefit.
Category of One work is organic, revelatory, deeply personal, and fun. I cannot wait to share this process with you.
Hi. I'm Amy. I created the Category of One process.
Category of One Camp
This camp is a 3-day workshop unlike any you’ve attended. You’ll be participating in important work – work that will culminate in your Category of One. Your Category of One is your unbeatable lane. Your best and highest contribution to the world as it stands right now. It is your most lucrative and impactful lane for your speaking, your writing, your legacy. It fuels writing, social media posts, connection, surprise, delight, income, philanthropy, products and services, career choices — and, specifically for this Camp: Your signature keynote positioning. Title, subtitle, description, take-aways, your bio that showcases you and why you are the hands down blockbuster choice to deliver it in a way no one else can.
Your Category of One exists in the overlap between obsession, expertise, and what the world desperately wants. Only you can offer the combination found in your Category of One.
- It requires work. You aren’t a stranger to work. Take each lesson as it comes and apply yourself to the task at hand. No half-measures allowed. You want the outcome to be magnificent. So do I. Work is our investment in that outcome.
- It requires patience. You will be tempted to immediately jump to ‘I know what it is!’ when a great idea crosses your mind early in the sessions. Don’t. The absolute BEST ideas will come from allowing each lesson and exercise to percolate in your mind. Resist the temptation to rush. Allow the golden threads of connection to form. After the in-person session is complete, you’ll need patience to see the full process through. We’ll be meeting, bi-weekly, for 60 min, a total of 12 sessions, April to the end of September. These will be working sessions designed to help everyone who attended Camp together move along toward the finish line.
- It requires self-disclosure and candor. For the Category of One magic to work, you must be willing to answer the prompts honestly. Candidly. Without squashing down the ‘real’ answer in favor of playing it safe. It may be uncomfortable. It may be emotional. It may be awkward. Be willing to allow that. The setting is a small group where confidentiality and discretion are required. Lean into that.
- It requires action. The session is interactive. Participation is required. The Category of One process begins with the foundation in-person in this camp. It will continue to unfold in the weeks that follow – through the continuation of the action items once you return home. If your involvement ceases at the end of Camp, you will cheat yourself out of the culmination of your effort. Don’t. Commit to the completion of the process. It will be worth it.
- It requires focus. The in-person element requires your mind to be fully in-person, not just your body. I’ll require all cellphones to be off and left in the adjacent room while we are in session. If anyone needs to reach you for a true emergency, they will call my husband, Alf Wilson, on his cellphone and he will interrupt the workshop to get you. We are bombarded in our daily lives with texts, calls, emails, DM’s, likes – you name it. Not during Camp. I’m putting an iron wall around our group focus during the sessions. You can check in with the outside world during breaks or meals.

Amy and New Leaf will ensure that no attendee information is revealed in such usage unless specific advance written permission is obtained from the attendee(s) involved. Confidentiality and discretion are paramount.
Not included:
- Attendee travel and lodging costs. Recommended Airbnbs that are located within 10 min walking distance, maximum, of the workshop location can be found at the link below. Participants must book their own lodging and transportation. (Airbnb link below is current as of initial posting on Jan 23rd, with availability for Mon 3/9- Fri 3/13) Alternatives if the link options below are unavailable or unsuitable: Harbor Light Inn (located within 10 min. walking distance of Camp) The Hotel Marblehead (car needed to get to/from Camp, 5 min ride, or 30 min walk). Salem Massachusetts is another option for lodging – and a car would be needed to get to/from Camp (15 min drive each way). Let me know if you’d like lodging recommendations for Salem, I’m happy to help. Link to nearby Airbnb options: https://www.airbnb.com/wishlists/1925049140
- Airport transfers. You can easily catch an UBER from Logan Airport and the ride takes approximately 40 minutes outside of ‘rush hour). If you arrive between 3:30-6:30pm on a weekday, the ride could take 90 minutes due to commuter traffic heading out of Boston. When departing for the Airport, allow 40 minutes outside of rush hour. Between 6am – 8am or 3:30 – 6:30pm, allow 90 minutes. I recommend arriving at the airport at least 90 minutes prior to your domestic flight departure, or two hours ahead of international departure.
- If you’d like to book your airport transfers ahead of time, I highly recommend texting my local ‘go-to’ Phil Padulsky. He charges $60 USD, cash, each way to/from Logan to/from Marblehead, plus optional gratuity. Very reliable, cheerful and polite. Plus, he has a wonderful Boston accent and looks a bit like (younger) Michael Douglas. He can be reached at 617.240.3160 (personal cell, Eastern US timezone). Tell him Amy Gray sent ya!
PLEASE NOTE:
All registration fees are non-refundable. If you must withdraw for any reason prior to March 9th, 2026, your registration will automatically convert to twenty-five (25) recorded, 60 min, 1:1 ZOOM sessions with Amy Gray to be utilized within 2026 and subject to mutual availability. If Amy is unable to host Camp due to personal emergency, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee back to the original form of payment.
In addition, all Camp participants must sign a waiver and release of liability provided by the residence owner for the location of Camp. This document will be provided upon receipt of your paid registration and must be received prior to Monday, March 9th, 2026 to participate in Camp. Failure to sign and return the waiver prior to the commencement of Camp will result in forfeiture of your tuition. Arrrghhh! No one wants that. I’ll send reminders, but this is an essential document, so please be sure to complete this requirement prior to arrival at Camp.
What We'll Be Doing
Day 1: Credible Expertise - Deep Dive
I’ll lead you through a unique exploration of what you’ve done, for pay, since your earliest days and use that in an exercise I call The Problem Ladder. You’ll look at the path you’ve taken with fresh eyes and a vantage point that showcases your work (or entrepreneurial endeavors) and decodes it into core audiences and problems solved. All clues in our personal treasure hunt at camp that point the way to your unique Category of One.
Day 2: Personal Obsessions for the WIN
Most people don’t consider their personal obsessions as essential to their speaking. I know better. The more your speaking includes what makes you ‘tick,’ the more compelling it will be for your audience. Obsessions deliver nuance, mastery, depth and surprise. The exploration of your obsessions provide a ha’s and insights that make your Category of One extraordinary. The work around your obsessions requires personal disclosure. That can be challenging if you are typically a guarded or deeply private person. Resist the urge to clam up or offer surface level answers to my prompts and questions. What may at first appear to be unrelated to your speaking will make sense in the end.
Day 3: What do you want speaking to attract? What does the world want?
You are speaking, or want to, to achieve specific outcomes – let’s make those outcomes and expectations visible. What would you like your speaking to attract? Why are these important?
Then, we’ll step back and look at the ‘meta’ trends in the world- now and for the forseeable next 12 months. What is happening on a global, national, regional, and local level that can add ‘wind’ to the sails of your work? What trends may hinder it? What trends on social media might inspire how you share your Category of One messaging? I’ll share what the evergreen topics are in the corporate sector, too, to see if your unique blend of expertise and obsession align with one or more those. We’ll do an exercise together to see what surprises can be found on Amazon, to further help with your speech positioning.
Camp will end with individual gifts from me to each participant. I’ll award the Wise Owl trophy to the participant who best embodies the spirit of this inaugural Category of One Camp: Thoughtful, insightful, generous, engaged.
You’ll depart with your baseline – your unique overlap of market knowledge / personal obsession / credible expertise — and some specific next steps to further refine your Category of One before our 1st ZOOM in April.
We’ll meet, 1:1, in private, for 30 min before you head home, to discuss where you are and what your immediate next couple of steps must be to keep your progress rolling.
ready to register?
That is exciting. You are making an investment in Future You. You are setting aside 3 days, distraction free, to focus on your speaking. We’ll make the absolute most of it. Together. Drop me a line at: CAMP@NewLeafSpeakers.com – I’ll reply with a link to the PayPal invoice. Once payment is received in full, your spot is confirmed.
I look forward to meeting you in March.

A cozy private residence is our setting for Camp.
The setting
We’ll be meeting in a cozy, bright livingroom setting – designed for maximum interaction and comfort.
Gather around.
Fresh air breaks
Pull up an Adirondack and get to know your fellow campers.
Camp takes place in a residence located in the center of this photo.
Marblehead is gorgeous.
We often joke that Marblehead is a fairytale village….because it feels like that here. We’ve lived in Marblehead since 2012 and adore its history, walkability, quaint shops and views of the ocean. Come a few days early or stay a few days afterward. You’ll fall in love with this place.
The most successful speakers I've worked with share this
Each one offered a laser focus on their unique Category of One in their speaking and it ALWAYS included a major element of personal obsession. Your Category of One will combine obsession with credible expertise and market need. All three elements are required, with obsession holding highest importance.
Alf Wilson & Amy Gray, Owners, New Leaf

What is the overall Category of One process?
My full Category of One is a premium fee, deep dive, 2 full-day immersion, with a day of rest in between. I created it from my realization that the speakers I’ve worked with who achieved blockbuster success in their speaking all shared a common element: Personal obsession. That crucial component is missing from the vast majority of keynotes and it’s hurting those speakers’ fees, reducing their in-bound inquiries, and creating lots of frustration and friction for the speakers and their prospective hosts. If you want to attract attention, followers, paid speaking, opportunities — all while channeling your energy and time in it’s most productive and impactful lane – you must focus on your Category of One. One. Not a laundry list. A singular, gorgeous focus that serves as a clarion call to those who are desperately looking for what only you can provide.
Overall, the Category of One process distills your best combination of obsession, expertise, and market need – so you can laser focus your speaking in that spot. The intentional pruning of all other possible speaking topics and subject matter creates clarity for buyers and fuels interest, energy and income for you.
We’ll utilize a streamlined version of the full Category of One process at Camp. Still robust, still hitting all the core elements of expertise, obsession, and market need — but at a more affordable price point than the full immersion described below. I’ll teach you the lessons and provide an interactive exercise to reinforce it. You’ll complete it, in camp, and share it with the group to gain feedback and clarity. I’ll offer guidance, coaching, and real world examples of what works, what doesn’t, and why. You’ll continue to explore, refine and polish your Category of One output after camp is over – using our 12, bi-weekly, hour long ZOOM sessions to continue your progress and ensure implementation. You’ll also gain a massive cheerleader (me) who will be rooting for your success and a circle of friends from the other participants at camp. This event will attract extraordinary, gifted folks – and you will fit right in.
The full, “done for you,” premium Category of One process is $25,000 plus my travel onsite to conduct the process at your location. All details can be found here.
