Bernadette Peeples, Office Manager & Assistant to Amy Gray
Bernie joined the New Leaf team in March of 2018 as the Office Manager, Assistant to Amy Gray and all-around gap filler.
In Bernie’s career prior to New Leaf, she focused on the non-profit world and supporting youth and families to live their best lives. Bernie attended Northeastern University, where she played Division 1 soccer and earned her degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation, Bernie moved to Ocean Beach, San Diego, and enjoyed the fabulous weather and West Coast life before heading back east to graduate school. After looking at a bunch of locations, she selected Loyola University in New Orleans to earn her Master’s Degree in Criminology. Bernie loved NOLA and immersed herself in the culture and lifestyle. Bernie’s next move was a return to New England with her boyfriend Adam (now husband) just one day before Hurricane Katrina struck. Always wanting to support NOLA, a city that is near and dear to their hearts, they regularly return to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity to assist in the rebuilding of the 9th Ward.
Bernie serves on two non-profit boards on the North Shore: HAWC (Healing Abuse, Working for Change) in Salem, MA and SPUR in Marblehead, MA. She loves being connected to these causes and how they integrate her into the local community in a meaningful way.
Bernie and her three siblings grew up in Avon CT, a small suburb located west of Hartford. Bernie adores anything outdoors: hiking, biking, skiing and running. In her small window of spare time, Bernie reads, spends time with family and friends, and plays board games. Bernie has two pups: an 11-year-old lab mix named Congo and 1.5-year-old lab mix named Chewy.
Bernie lives in Marblehead, MA with her husband, Adam, and their two kids: Lincoln and Adelaide.
